Beginner Pottery Classes
When:
Thursday March 19th 6pm to 8pm
Thursday April 2nd 6pm – 8pm
Thursday April 16th 6pm – 8pm
(I) Thursday March 19th 6pm to 8pm $ 30
Roll out a slab, use a cookie cutter and/or trace method.
Also make a Pinch Pot, Coil Pot & then trim
and clean your pieces to prepare them for their first firing.
(II) Thursday April 2nd 6pm – 8pm $ 30
Glaze your pieces from the first class.
Introduction to the Pottery Wheel. Everyone will take turns on the wheel to learn centering a piece of clay, while the others learn about Hand Building with a slab of clay.
(III)Thursday April 16th 6pm – 8pm $ 30
Receive your pieces from the first class.
More on the Pottery Wheel (everyone will take turns on the wheel while the others prep and glaze their piece from the second night).
(IV) Thursday April 30th 6pm – 7pm N/C
Pick up your items.
Or schedule another day and time that’s convenient for you!
Total for all three classes is $90 which may be paid all at once
or in three installments of $30 each, before or at each class.
All Classes will be at the home of Alan & Lisa Johnson and by attending you are agreeing to hold them harmless and not responsible for any injuries or accidents.
Remember that Pottery can be MESSY so dress accordingly. If you have an apron, it wouldn’t be a bad idea to bring one. We do have some but may not have enough for everyone.
All necessary items such as clay, slip, tools are supplied each class.
We will also have light snacks and drinks.
